From the pictures, it is nearly impossible to tell how big this piece really is. Sure, you can tell it is a long shank, but the proportions are delicate and elegant. I would have guessed 5.75-6.00 inches, tops. Then you look at the video and realize this isn’t a long shanked Canadian, but rather a looooooong shanked Canadian, snapping the tape at 7.5 inches! Michael once again shows us his expertise in shaping a pipe; he is able to scale his work upward several times over without compromising a single line, curve, or transition. The back-to-front “bullseye” blast is exceptional, and the smooth easy-fill rim is a nice complement. This is a smoking machine of the highest order, and I am already jealous of whoever lands this bad boy.
