Another shape that has been pushed into the unfamiliar, this Scoop/Teardrop grabs the eye and won’t let go. The shank of this more or less full-bent pipe becomes part of the downward curve that, together with the upward slant of the leading edge, puts the top of the bowl, firmly placed in the well of those angles, the natural receptacle for this vertical movement. Teardrops would naturally roll down into this well.This is not the suggestion of a Scoop/Teardrop but instead a full, very artfully wrought expression.
There is a good deal of grain to admire as well, 360 degree straight on the upper sides with full birdseye underneath and a mixture of both on the rim.
