We had a massive thunderstorm the other night (which started the pervious day and lasted until the following morning) which left many in our town (including us) with basement water leaks. In the middle of the night, I awoke to very close and loud thunder…and so did baby. Each time the thunder clapped and roared, the baby would shutter and begin to move. I loved cradling my stomach and singing to the little one as the baby settled back down. However we had a good hour of off and on thunder and lightening that allowed me and baby to bond in a new way. Not the most pleasant night sleep, but a memory for us. This child may be one that jumps in our bed at the first signs of a thunderstorm. And I am trying to choose to enjoy the experience if it come to that.
