This week baby is about the size of a cauliflower, about 14.5 inches and weighing up to 2.5 pounds. The baby is experiencing brain activity as the brain is the dominant part of development now. Amniotic fluid continues to be inhaled as the lungs slowly develop in preparation of breathing. We experienced hiccups for the first time, click here to read about it. Baby is also beginning to develop sleeping habits, which unfortunately for us are taking on patterns like this little one’s daddy. I’m finding the evening and late night time hours are when baby is most awake and since baby is increasing in size, it is becoming more difficult to ignore the jabs, rolls and all out dance party going on. It’s cute during the day, fun to watch at night with daddy, but not to much at 3 in the morning. Sleep training may begin early with this one!
